I primarily research digital games and gaming culture, as well as the representation of marginalized groups (focusing on the intersections of sexuality, gender, race, and nationality) in mediated spaces generally. I am also working on a grant project to develop an educational video game. I am always interested in the ways in which technology could be used to enhance classroom experiences, but often find that many of the ways they are used end up being unproductive.
