I'm an international student: a Fulbrighter from Yemen with an undergraduate degree in English, currently pursuing a master's degree in American Studies. My ultimate goal is to be in a position where I can provide all people with all the knowledge they need or wish to have. My research interest is power and hegemony: where power come from, how it is forced, how hegemony is created, and how consciousness is created to preserve hegemony. This leads to engaging with topics such as colonialism, capitalism, democracy, and imperial democracy. I'm also a gamer--when I have time--who prefers third person action and adventure games. My favorite games include: God of War and Assassin's Creed.
