Session Proposal: Activism as Collaborative Cross-Genre Artistic Output

I would like to facilitate a session on collaborative cross-genre activism.  A potential output would be an exhibition, film screening, performance, installation, website.  I curate if you’d like to see potential examples of collaborative cross-genre work.

About Bonnie MacAllister

Academically, I studied semiotics and cinema in Paris under Helene Cixous, Agnes Varda, and Jacques Derrida all of whom I really loved. I write for Tom Tom, Flying Kite, Keystone Edge, and Generocity, and I publish in a lot of zines like Girls Get Busy! and in poetics magazines like Esque, Helix, and the Feminist Journal. Some of my video and audio is out on Riot Grrrl Berlin and Classwar Karaoke, particularly for our three person music project, Dental Dames. I just helped put together a film conference for Riot Grrrl: The Self Told Narrative film and a three month residency for Permanent Wave Philly at an artspace, and I have two solo shows of my visual art in 2013. As the exiting Co-President of the Women's Caucus for Art Philadelphia Chapter and board member of the Young Women's Caucus, I frequently curate shows and performances. My upcoming multimedia solo show "SPECTACLE" launches in Philadelphia at iMPeRFeCT Gallery in April.
